Qualitative Phytochemical Screening of Medicinal Plants Using Different Solvent Extracts

نویسندگان

چکیده

Medicinal plants are rich in bioactive components that utilized to treat various human ailments. They crucial healing as well. Phytochemical constituents responsible for the medicinal activity of plant species. screening is an important step identifying compounds present particular plants. Hence, this work, phytochemical leaf extract some traditional plants, namely Cannabis sativa, Ricinus communis, and Bryophyllum pinnatum was carried out. The solvent extracts leaves respective were prepared using Soxhlet apparatus with acetone, chloroform, petroleum ether, aqueous solvents. Qualitative analysis included tests reducing sugars, flavonoids, steroids, glycosides, polyphenols, tannins, terpenoids, coumarins. All eight tested phytoconstituents found all three any extracts. Aqueous confirmed presence a maximum number C. sativa comparison other Acetone chloroform minimum R. while B. pinnatum. These phytochemicals may be source innovative plant-based medications because their existence connected therapeutic potential these

Phytochemical screening by FTIR spectroscopic analysis of leaf extracts of selected Indian Medicinal plants

A large number of medicinal plants are used as alternate medicine for diseases of man and other animals since most of them are without side effects when compared with synthetic drugs. Identification of the chemical nature of phytochemical compounds present in the medicinal plants will provide some information on the different functional groups responsible for their medicinal properties. While s...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
